What is time, what causes it? Is it a dimension, can you slow it down or speed it up?
Humankind has always been concerned with time, the passage of time and the scientific qualities of time. There are theories and concepts of time and it is studied in religion, philosophy and science.Time even has economic value.
Time is money.Time has social and personal importance, we use our concepts of time to place events, appointments and milestones in sequence. We order our lives around Time,in Islam lives are structured around the daily prayers.
The continued progress of existence that constitutes the past, present, and future is Time.
Our preferences as human beings engenders our perception of time, leading to several experiences which shape our movement and growth in life.
We are allowed to think about the detours, push-backs, downtimes….but whichever way we choose to see it, what helps to bring us back to reality is how we are able to push- back up and preclude the setbacks from getting the best of us.
Every setback is an experience of some sort…good or bad, profitable or non profitable, exhilirating moments, depression, loss, disputes…..make sure to experience each of these moments in their full intensity, value every situation as it helps takes you further in your journey. Hence:there is good in everything.
A single moment in a string of infinite moments, its paramount to realise, recognise, and understand that nothing Is Ultimate.
So regardless of the situation, whether auspicious or not, in as much as we are alive, whatever that is lost, is not lost forever.
Hence,there definitely is Redemption.
Islam and Christian theologians adopted the idea that time is linear.Verses from the bible tells us there is a time for everything.
“To Everything This Is A Season,And A Time To Every Purpose Under The Heavens”(Ecclesiastes 3:1).
” By Al-Asr(The Time).Verily, man is in loss.Except those who believe and do righteous good deeds, and recommend one another to the truth and recommend one another to patience,Qur 103″
.The prophet Mohammed(s.a.w) instructed his followers, and believers to know and value the importance of time in the following traditions…..
Humankind will remain standing on the day of resurrection until he is asked about four things:
1,His life and how he spend it.
2,His youth and how he used it up.
3,His property and how he acquired and managed it.
4, His knowledge and how he utilized it.
^Always remember that in the process of loosing, we gain.
^See time as a process that runs through our entire existence.
^Endeavour to always see things as they are and not as we want them to be.
^Galvanize yourself to succeed.
^Value your time,and
^Value every moment.
There are two of God’s favours that are forgotten by many people;HEALTH AND FREE TIME.
